Salt Lake County prosecutors last week charged four people with possession of drugs with intent to distribute, a first-degree felony, after a search of a residence yielded almost 250 pounds of marijuana.
On June 3, officers obtained a search warrant and headed to a residence near 9500 South and 150 West. They saw two men unloading marijuana bricks from a hidden compartment of a truck, according to the charges.
A woman was standing in front of the house allegedly acting as a lookout. When officers identified themselves, she ran, the charges state.
Officers found more than 100 pounds of marijuana in garbage bags in the kitchen. They found more marijuana, pipes, small plastic bags and two guns in the residence, the charges state.
Everyone at the house was apprehended.
