An Ogden man was charged Thursday with theft, aggravated assault and evading police following a high-speed chase on I-15 that ended in Woods Cross.
The 36-year-old man was taken into custody after the pickup truck he was driving was rammed by a Utah Highway Patrol trooper. The pursuit began when the trooper responded to a report of a fight at a rest stop along the interstate in Davis County, a UHP statement said.
There the trooper reported seeing a man being dragged alongside the truck. After the man was released from the truck, the vehicle sped away on southbound I-15, the statement said.
Authorities said speeds in the chase reached 110 mph and that the truck driver was weaving in and out of traffic.
