Pleasant Grove-based TestOut Corp. will have an International TestOut Challenge Computer Skills competition this month.
The competition is designed to encourage students to pursue technology careers, give them experience taking certificationlike exams and provide them with something to work toward at the end of their academic year, the company said.
The company has extended an open invitation for students enrolled in technology education courses to participate. The event consists of a series of local, national and world-level tests that simulate the information technology industry's leading certification exams, including CompTIA A+ (Hardware and OS), CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and Novell Certified Network Administrator (CNA).
National and world events will be conducted next year.
