Members of the LDS Genesis group are producing a play on the life of early black pioneer Jane Manning James in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the priesthood ban being rescinded. It will be performed Friday, June 6, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, June 7, at 2 p.m. in the Bountiful Regional Center. The public is invited.
The group also will host an evening with Gladys Knight and a Las Vegas choir in the Tabernacle on Sunday, June 8. Tickets for that event have already been distributed.
