Salt Lake City is home to three of the nation's fastest-growing inner-city companies.
Ikano Communications, Automated Teller Accessories and Mountain Land Design made the Inner City 100 list, awarded by Inc. Magazine and The Initiative for a Competitive Inner City, a non-partisan group focused on fostering business growth in inner cities.
The Inner City 100 winners are based in 59 cities. Companies were selected from a pool of 5,000 nominated companies.
Criteria for the award included having operations located in economically distressed urban areas with sales of at least $150,000 in 1997 and at least $1 million in 2001.
