OREM Orem police cited a 24-year-old man Saturday at a tanning salon for investigation of trespassory voyeurism.
Orem Police Lt. Doug Edwards said the man was seen peeking over the top of a wall that separates tanning booths.
Edwards said the man was seen by an unclothed woman inside the tanning booth. After he realized he'd been spotted, the man left in haste, Edwards said.
Officers didn't have to look far to find out the man's identity.
The man left his cell phone at the tanning salon. The officer who responded to the call said the man tried to "make up a story" about who could have been at the salon with his phone, Edwards said.
When he returned to the salon to claim his phone, he was identified by three witnesses. He was then cited.
