The Organ Loft programmers are bringing a special program to Salt Lake City on Wednesday.
In conjunction with the Silent Movie Accompanist Center for the Performing Arts, the Organ Loft is presenting a workshop and seminar featuring Jelani Eddington, an international touring artist who is also the youngest recipient of the American Theater Organ Society's Award for Outstanding Performance.
In addition to the workshop, Eddington will provide the musical score for the Organ Loft's Thursday night showing of "The Black Pirate." (The Friday night screening of that 1926 swashbuckler adventure film will feature accompaniment by Organ Loft regular Blaine Gale.)
Both the workshop and screenings will be held in the Organ Loft, 3331 S. Edison (150 East). Show time for both is 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the workshop are $10. Admission to the screenings of "The Black Pirate" are $5. Call 485-9265 for reservations.
