The Brigham Young University Museum of Art has created a facility for public access to its 16,500 piece permanent art collection. Collections, exhibitions and educational materials can now be instantly accessed through the TMS (The Museum System) database, via eMuseum on the university's Web site, www.byu.edu/moa.
Provided by Gallery Systems of New York, the design of eMuseum is clear and easy-to-use and includes various options for searching and for display of objects. Users will be able to search the museum's entire collection by artist name, work of art, title, date, art medium, subject matter or other.
Funding for the project was made possible by Ira and Mary Lou Fulton.
