Parker scores career high as Spurs end Kings' winning streak

SAN ANTONIO — Tony Parker matched his career high with 32 points, including 19 in the first quarter, to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 108-100 victory over Sacramento on Saturday.

Tim Duncan added 18 points and 15 rebounds for the Spurs, who won for the 12th time in the last 13 games. Stephen Jackson scored 14 points and Malik Rose 10, and David Robinson grabbed 12 rebounds.

Chris Webber scored 36 points on 17-for-26 shooting for the Kings, whose five-game winning streak was stopped. Peja Stojakovic added 20 points and Bobby Jackson had 19.

WIZARDS 101, BULLS 93: At Washington, Juan Dixon stole the spotlight in Michael Jordan's last game against the Chicago Bulls with 27 points and six rebounds in his first NBA start.

Donyell Marshall had two of three Chicago technicals during a game-deciding 19-2 Wizards run late in the third quarter that saw the Bulls lose their composure. The teams combined for seven technicals.

Jordan, in his lowest-scoring performance since turning 40 six games ago, had 17 points. Jerry Stackhouse also had 27 points for the Wizards, who have won three straight and four of five and reached .500 for the first time since Jan. 24.

Jalen Rose and Jamal Crawford scored 21 points apiece for the Bulls, who have lost five of seven and fell to an NBA-worst 3-30 on the road.

MAVERICKS 114, GRIZZLIES 87: At Dallas, Dirk Nowitzki scored 28 points, 10 during a decisive 13-0 third-quarter run, as the Dallas Mavericks completed a four-game season sweep of the Memphis Grizzlies.

Nowitzki scored 13 points and went 3-of-4 from 3-point range during the third quarter when Dallas outscored Memphis 28-17.

The Grizzlies were without starting center Lorenzen Wright, who returned to Memphis to be with his family following the death of his 11-month-old daughter, Sierra, on Saturday morning.

Michael Finley had 11 points and 10 rebounds, and Adrian Griffin, activated off the injured list earlier in the day, went 8-for-8 for 17 points off the bench to help the Mavericks end a two-game losing streak.

HORNETS 97, SUNS 92: At Phoenix, Jamal Mashburn scored 13 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter as the New Orleans Hornets extended their winning streak to six games.

Phoenix got within 93-92 on two foul shots by Shawn Marion with 29 seconds to play, but, after a timeout, Courtney Alexander put up an 18-footer that bounced high off the front rim and dropped through with 9.8 seconds to play.<
