"Beloved Mother"
Eleanor Kofford Brown Petersen, 88 beloved mother and grandmother, returned to her Heavenly Father on February 3, 2003.
She was born July 27, 1914 in Clear Creek, Utah to David Amasa and Venice Kofford Brown. On March 21, 1942, she married Ray Louis Petersen in Butler, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Ray preceded her in death Oct. 5, 1933. Eleanor was an active member of the LDS Church where she participated in teaching capacities and providing piano accompaniment for many church activities. Her main concern was the health and happiness of her family. Along with her concerned heart was a cute sense of humor. She lived her life with love, laughter, integrity, and dignity.
Survivors: children, Diane Stoker (Lynn), Craig L. (Heidi), both Sandy; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; brothers, David R. "Dick" Brown and James K. Brown. Preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Edward Brown.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, at 11 a.m. in the Mt. Jordan Third LDS Ward Chapel, 8950 South 400 East, Sandy, Utah. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State Thursday 6-8 p.m. or Friday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m.
Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
