"Best Buddy"

Jason Earl Fenton, 31, of American Fork was called home to his Heavenly Father on January 30, 2003 surrounded by his loved ones. Jason fought with all his strength a very courageous battle against cancer.

Jason was born April 26, 1971 in Provo to Charles (Chisel) and Valerie Fenton. He attended schools in Utah and Louisiana. In 1989 he graduated from Zachary High School, Zachary, Louisiana where he excelled in football. In 1990 Jason was called to serve in the Salt Lake City LDS Mission. After his mission he moved back to Utah where he made his career as a concrete finisher, working side by side with his father. On March 25, 1995 he married Melissa Marrie Draney. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they were blessed with three beautiful children.

Jason's passions were hunting, fishing and enjoying the outdoors with his family. He had a special talent of bringing humor to everyday life.

He is survived by his wife Missy, his children: Aubrey Lynn, Jason Kaleb, and Tucker Janes Fenton; his mother Valerie Fenton, a special friend Gene Schliewe, his father and stepmother, Chisel and Karen Fenton, Eagle Mountain; sisters: Jodi (Wade) Messick, Eagle Mountain; Ashley (Oliver) Larson, Ontario, OR; Casey (Shane) Call, Eagle Mountain; and a brother, Colton Fenton, Eagle Mountain. He is also survived by the Casey and Cheryl Draney family of Orem, along with numerous grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Bert S. Soulier and Earl Janes Fenton.

The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to the LDS Hospital Bone Marrow Clinic and the Shock Trauma ICU doctors and nursing staff for all their dedication and compassion as they cared for Jason.

Jason you will always be our Hero! You will live on in our hearts forever - We love you.
