NOV. 27

ADAM SANDLER'S 8 CRAZY NIGHTS — Adam Sandler provides the voices for three different characters in this Christmas-themed animated musical about a party animal who must perform community service over the holidays.

EXTREME OPS — A team of athletes and a film crew (including Devon Sawa and Bridget Sampras-Wilson) find themselves endangered by terrorists in this action-thriller with an extreme-sports bent.

SOLARIS — Steven Soderbergh remakes Andrei Tarkovsky's 1972 science-fiction fantasy about a scientist (George Clooney) haunted by the ghosts of his past as he investigates a mysterious death aboard a space station.

TREASURE PLANET — Disney contemporizes Robert Louis Stevenson's much-filmed novel with this animated science-fiction adventure, starring the voices of Emma Thompson, David Hyde Pierce, Martin Short and others.

WES CRAVEN PRESENTS: THEY — Veteran horror director Craven executive-produced this horror-thriller about a graduate student (newcomer Laura Regan) who discovers there may be real danger from her night terrors.

DEC. 6

ANALYZE THAT — This sequel to the 1999 comedy hit finds mob boss Paul Vitti (Robert De Niro) being released from prison into the custody of psychiatrist Ben Sobol (Billy Crystal). Lisa Kudrow co-stars.

EMPIRE — Dramatic thriller about a street hustler (John Leguizamo) who tries to go straight, only to find himself swindled by an even bigger crook. Peter Sarsgaard co-stars. A selection of the 2002 Sundance Film Festival.

EQUILIBRIUM — Christian Bale stars in this science-fiction thriller as a cleric standing in opposition to the Earth's fascistic leaders, who are trying to outlaw feelings. Emily Watson and Taye Diggs co-star.

THE MAN FROM ELYSIAN FIELDS — The title character of director George Hickenlooper's drama, a hit at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival, is a struggling writer (Andy Garcia) who falls under the sway of the persuasive head of an escort service (Mick Jagger).

DEC. 13

ALL OR NOTHING — The latest from writer-director Mike Leigh ("Topsy-Turvy") is a downbeat drama following a British family that is living barely above poverty level. Timothy Spall and Leslie Manville star.
