Garden Terrace chosen as facility of the year

Garden Terrace Alzheimer's Center of Excellence was honored as facility of the year by its parent organization, Life Care Centers of America.

Criteria for the award included customer service, financial performance, activities programs and community involvement.

Garden Terrace is managed by Life Care Centers, a health care management company based in Cleveland, Tenn. Life Care operates more than 250 facilities in 28 states.

Garden Terrace also recently received its accreditation with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. To be accredited, an organization must undergo an on-site review and staff interviews. The JCAHO is governed by a board of health-care professionals and consumers and has accredited more than 17,000 health-care organizations nationwide.
