SALEM — Sewer impact fees may go up when the City Council meets Wednesday.

Sewer impact fees, now at $1,200 for every new home, could be raised an additional $500 to $1,000, Mayor Randy Brailsford said. The impact fee hasn't been raised in five years, he said, and the city needs to cover the cost of growth. Maintenance costs, meanwhile, should be born by all property owners, Brailsford said.

The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 30 W. 100 South.
