Utah State head coach Matt Wells talks to his team at the end of Friday afternoon's practice in Logan.

Utah State University Vice President and Director of Athletics John Hartwell announced Thursday the remainder of the Aggies 2018 non-conference football schedule with home games against New Mexico State and Tennessee Tech.

Utah State will open the 2018 season at Michigan State on Saturday, Sept. 1, and then play host to New Mexico State and Tennessee Tech in back-to-back home games on Saturday, Sept. 8, and Saturday, Sept. 15. USU’s final non-conference game will be at BYU on Friday, Oct. 5.

Utah State’s Mountain West home games in 2018 include visits by Air Force, New Mexico, San José State and UNLV. Conference road games for USU next season include trips to Boise State, Colorado State, Hawai’i and Wyoming.

Utah State will face Tennessee Tech for the first time, while its meeting with New Mexico State will be its 38th all-time, which is tied for the sixth-longest played series in school history. USU and NMSU spent 26 years as conference foes as both were members of the Big West from 1985-2000, the Sun Belt Conference in 2003-04 and the Western Athletic Conference from 2005-12.

Utah State will also play at New Mexico State on November 6, 2021, for the return game of the home-and-home series.
