Pioneer Day events:

JULY 22 — The Days of '47 Youth Parade will begin at 10 a.m. at 600 East and 500 South in downtown Salt Lake City, run west on 500 South to 200 East, then end at 200 East and 500 South. Bring canned food to donate to the Utah Food Bank to the parade start point.

JULY 24 — The National Society of the Sons of Utah Pioneers will present a Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. in the Assembly Hall on Temple Square. The program will include music by the Salt Lake City Institute combined choirs and a talk by Elder Kevin R Duncan, General Authority Seventy. Admission is free, but those attending must be in their seats by 6:50 a.m.

JULY 24 — The Days of '47 Parade will begin at 9 a.m. at South Temple and State Street in downtown Salt Lake City, run east along State Street to 200 East, turn South to 900 South, then turn east to end at 600 East (Liberty Park).

Temple Square performances:

JULY 22 — The Saltaires, an internationally acclaimed barbershop chorus, will perform show tunes, spirituals, love ballads and patriotic songs at 7:30 p.m. in the Assembly Hall on Temple Square.

Concerts in the Park:

JULY 18 — Sam Payne — singer, songwriter and storyteller — will perform at 7:30 p.m.

JULY 21 — Rocky Mountain Express, a group of national champion cloggers and power tap dancers, will perform at 7:30 p.m.

Enjoy free, informal concerts at beautiful Brigham Young Historic Park on the corner of State St. and 2nd Ave., Salt Lake City, on Tuesday and Friday evenings in June, July and August. All ages are welcome. No tickets needed.

Seating is limited; blankets or lawn chairs are encouraged. In cases of inclement weather, concerts will be moved indoors to the Assembly Hall. For more information, call 801-240-3323.

Summer Church Pageants:

JULY 18-22 — The Hill Cumorah Pageant will be held at 9:15 p.m. at 603 State Route 21, Palmyra, New York. For more information, visit hillcumorah.org.

JULY 11- AUG. 5 — The Nauvoo Pageant will be presented on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The British Pageant: Truth Will Prevail will be presented on Wednesday and Friday. AUG. 1-5, 8-12 — The British Pageant: Truth Will Prevail will be held at 8 p.m. — with additional matinee performances on August 5, 11 and 12 at 3 p.m. — near the grounds of the Preston England Temple in Lancashire, England. AUG. 4-12, 15-19 — The Martin Harris Pageant, a presentation of the life of Martin Harris, will be held at 8:30 p.m. in the Martin Harris Memorial Amphitheater in Clarckston, Utah. Clarkston Town offers a dinner that will be served from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. each night of the pageant at the Clarkston LDS Chapel at 25 East 100 South. Call 435-563-9090 for reservations. SUNDAY — Broadcasts of Music and the Spoken Word are held on Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Tabernacle. Please be in seats by 9:15 a.m.

THURSDAY — The Mormon Tabernacle Choir welcomes anyone to attend a rehearsal, held Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. in the Tabernacle.

MONDAY-SATURDAY — The film “Meet the Mormons” is available Mondays through Saturdays in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building’s Legacy Theater. For more information call 801-570-0020 or visit lds.org/events.

DAILY — Organists perform 30-minute recitals in the Tabernacle at noon Mondays through Saturdays and at 2 p.m. on Sundays.
