WEST JORDAN — Salt Lake County Aging and Adult Services and OptumCare Utah are hosting a Brain Savers Summit on May 31 at the Viridian Event Center, 8030 S. 1825 West.

The free event, which runs from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., aims to teach participants ways to keep their brain healthy as they age.

The keynote speaker will be celebrity chef Katie Weinner, who will do a cooking demonstration with foods that keep the brain healthy. In addition, there will be brain gym activities, fitness instruction and informational booths.

The event being held in conjunction with the 24th annual National Senior Health and Fitness Day. The first 150 people at the event will get a free sack lunch.
