Utah’s a bit of a skier's paradise, new data shows.
That’s because four Utah ski resorts ranked in the top 10 of Wanderu’s recent list of the best skiing destinations across the country.
Those four ski resorts are Powder Mountain (second), Park City Mountain Resort (third), Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort (fourth) and Alta Ski Area (seventh).
The Big Sky Resort in Big Sky, Montana, topped the list.
Wanderu, a ski ticket and travel information website, compiled the rankings based on the average annual snowfall, the cost of an all-day pass and the amount of ski trails at each resort. It also assessed how close airports, restaurants and hotels were to these ski resorts based on Google and Yelp data.
“Although skiing in Switzerland is a great adventure and most probably on the bucket list of every winter sports enthusiast, the U.S. offers plenty of high-quality ski destinations that can compete with the best ones in the world,” according to Wanderu.
