Baseball superstar Bryce Harper and former BYU soccer player Kayla Varner's wedding has been a long time coming, but it appears the two finally tied the knot in the San Diego California LDS Temple.

On Sunday, the Washington Post, which had previously reported the couple's engagement, reported "It seems that the second time’s the charm for Major League Baseball’s favorite star-crossed lovers, Nats slugger Bryce Harper and fiancee Kayla Varner, who finally tied the knot this weekend." The Post cited the fan website TalkNats.com. A picture accompanying the article shows the couple in front of the San Diego LDS Temple. The picture was posted on Instagram by user Ashley Bazzarone.

Both Harper and his new bride have since posted on their individual Instagram accounts.

According to the Washington Post, the couple was engaged to be married in January 2015 but the engagement was called off. However, in July in an Instagram of the couple at the ESPYS, Varner announced that the wedding was back on.
