ESPN writer highlights BYU-Boise State game
The Cougars earned the award along with Boise State as part of the game you should be psyched for but probably aren't.
"The Cougars have survived their heartbreak gantlet of September, when they lost to Utah, UCLA and West Virginia by a 2.3 average margin of victory, by winning three straight vs. Toledo, Michigan State and Mississippi State. Now they head to Idaho to face 6-0 14th-ranked Boise. If the Broncos are going to have any hope of crashing the Power 5 Playoff/New Year's Six party this will be their last chance to make a nonconference statement," writes McGee.
Damian Lillard ranked a top NBA point guard
NBA.com's Fran Blinebury ranked the best point guards in the NBA today, and while no one from the Utah Jazz made the top 10, former Weber State star Damian Lillard made the list.
Lillard came in at No. 6 in the rankings, behind John Wall, Kyrie Irving, Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook and Stephen Curry.
Of Lillard, Blinebury wrote, "The feisty little guard keeps using real and perceived slights to take his game to another level."
After talking about Lillard's career-year following his all-star snub a season ago, Blinebury continued, "He’s simply a gamer. And if keeping him out of our top five is seen as another slight, well, the Blazers will benefit all season long."
