A tornado touched down outside the Riverdale and greater Ogden area on Thursday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

As we reported earlier, Utah experienced a slew of storms across the northern end of the Wasatch range. Antelope Island saw golf-sized hail, and trees fell across different streets near Washington Terrace.

“More than 27,000 residents in about a dozen cities in Davis and Weber counties were without power as of 4:30 p.m.,” reported the Deseret News.

Weber County residents alike shared their experiences with the tornado on social media.

The Utah Red Cross announced over Twitter that it would send help in areas where aid was needed.

The UTA announced that some TRAX trains would be delayed.
