LEHI — The Skyridge Falcons swept Timpanogos Tuesday to move to 4-1 in the Region 7 volleyball standings.

The scores of the three sets were relatively close as the Falcons prevailed 25-21, 25-19, 25-20.

In the last set, the score was knotted at 19-19 before the home team went on a 6-1 run to put the match away. Senior Marissa Cannon provided the spark from the service line as the Falcons scored four straight points off of her serve.

The Falcons also got another solid game from sophomore setter Kate Standifird, who had 29 assists and six digs. Fellow sophomore Kenadee Christensen had six aces, eight kills and five digs.

Other key contributors were juniors Brinley Watkins with six kills and Katie Johnson who passed very well from the back row with a rating of 2.5 out of three.

"It was a good win," said Skyridge head coach Deanna Meyer. "We were able to play everyone on our roster that could play and that was nice."

Skyridge will now square off with Mountain View in the Bruin Den Thursday. Mountain View also won by a sweep Tuesday over Alta. The Bruins stand at 4-0 in league play, a half-game ahead of the Falcons. Corner Canyon leads the way with a 5-0 Region 7 record.
