The Administrative Control Board of the Wasatch Front Waste and Recycling District has rescinded the earlier anticipated monthly fee increase for 2015.

SALT LAKE CITY — The Administrative Control Board of the Wasatch Front Waste and Recycling District has rescinded the earlier anticipated monthly fee increase for 2015.

The decision is due to the efforts of district staff improving efficiencies through residential routing to reduce miles and making adjustments to the fleet replacement. Efforts toward recycling by customers have also assisted in keeping garbage dumping costs manageable.

Cities in the district are Taylorsville, Herriman, Cottonwood Heights, Holladay and parts of Murray.

Unincorporated communities served are: Big Cottonwood Canyon, Copperton, Granite Community, Emigration Canyon, Kearns, Magna, Millcreek, Canyon Rim, East Millcreek, Millcreek, Mount Olympus, Parleys Canyon, Sandy Hills, Southwest, White City, Willow Canyon and Willow Creek.

The governing board consists of nine mayor or council members from Holladay, Taylorsville, Cottonwood Heights, Salt Lake County, Murray and Herriman.
