The Tribune partnered with employee research firm WorkplaceDynamics to find the state’s best places to work. DDM — home to KSL.com, DeseretNews.com, FamilyShare.com and other digital products — was one of 829 companies nominated by their employees, 83 of which were included in the survey.
The questionnaire covered seven factors, including work-life balance, manager concern for employees, company values and leaders, as well as pay and benefits.
“We are honored to have been selected for the award, particularly as the judges were our employees,” said Chris Lee, president of Deseret Digital Media.

Two companies founded in 2009 were recognized, including MasteryConnect, 39 employees, ranked second among small companies, and Deseret Digital Media, 215 employees, which came in ninth among medium-size companies.
