Whoa. It finally happened. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie tied the knot.

Let’s see how long it lasts. After all, they’ve already been together for 10 years. According to the Pew Research Center, the average length of marriage is 18 years. This comes at a time when couples are married later in life. Pew also found that men are getting married on average at 28.7 years old and women at 26.5 years old.

Divorce is still prominent, though. Pew reported that 9 percent of men and 12 percent of women get divorced.

So with Pitt and Jolie tying the knot, what does that mean for celebrity couples and ending up together? We highlighted celebs who lost the budget battle in their divorce, but what about the couples who ended up staying together longer?

Here are 10 couples that have stuck together through the fame, fashion and friction:

Jada Pinkett and Will Smith

In December 1997, Jada Pinkett and Will Smith tied the knot and embarked on a marriage that has now lasted nearly 17 years. They’ve attributed their success to not having set rules about their marriage, according to ABC News, and have been able to hold the union together through the ups and downs.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck

Ben and Jen, part deux. Ben Affleck was in the spotlight back in 2003 when he proposed to singer Jennifer Lopez. But soon after their split — and a highly disliked film (“Gigli”) — Affleck found love again with another Jennifer in Garner. The two have remained strong since their 2005 wedding, and even helped each other out with a mega cute Ice Bucket Challenge.

Victoria and David Beckham

Soccer star and pop star — what could go wrong? David Beckham has toured the world time and time again as a professional soccer star, model and spokesman. And alongside him much of the time is his wife, Victoria Beckham, famously known for her role in the girl band Spice Girls (she was Posh Spice). They married in 1999.

Kate Middleton and Prince William

These two have only been married for three years, but that’s a long three years, given they’re the most royally famous couple in the world. With baby George already here, these two are already building yet another royal family.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr.

It was on the set of the horror film “I Know What You Did Last Summer” in 1997 where Freddie Prinze Jr. met his eventual sweetheart Sarah Michelle Gellar. The two have admitted that it has taken a lot of work to keep their marriage going (they got married on Sept. 1, 2002, according to US Magazine), but they’re still happy. Just look at this latest selfie they took, as seen on The Huffington Post, to see how thrilled they still are with each other.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick

Things got a little hairy for this couple earlier this year, but according to Classicalite, an entertainment news website, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick — who got married on May 19,1997 — had a state of the marriage talk, and are now on the path to keeping their marriage going.

Fergie and Josh Duhamel

The pop singer and the Hollywood hunk tied the knot in January 2009 and are now hitting their fifth year of marriage. Things seem to be working out quite well for the couple, as they share parenting duties for their son Axl, according to Daily Mail, and have already sidestepped some problems celebrity married couples face, like rumors of infidelity and time away from the home.
