Utah State’s golf team received the all-academic team award from the Golf Coaches Association of America for the second-straight year, it was announced Wednesday.

In all, Utah State was one of just 11 Division I men’s golf programs to earn President’s Special Recognition status for having a team grade point average of 3.4 or better.

During the 2013-14 academic year, Utah State’s golf team had an overall grade point average of 3.402 led by senior Tanner Higham (Shelley, Idaho), who was named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar for the second time in as many years as he has a 3.93 GPA majoring in nutrition, dietetics and food sciences.
