PROVO — BYU announced three future football games on Wednesday, two against Northern Illinois and one with Idaho State, with the contest against the Bengals fixing a home-schedule issue for 2015.

At one point, the Cougars' 2015 schedule included five home games and seven road contests, after BYU announced last month it would play at UCLA in September of that year. The Cougars' matchup against Idaho State, scheduled for Oct. 24, 2015, gives them a sixth home game, and last week the Hattiesburg American reported BYU's 2015 road game at Southern Mississippi is likely to move to another season. That would give BYU an even six games at home and on the road next year.

BYU also announced via its athletics Twitter account that the Cougars' 2015 game against Cincinnati will be played on Oct. 17 and the school is "working to finalize" the 2015 schedule.

The Cougars and Bengals last played in 2013, with BYU cruising to a 59-13 victory.

BYU and Northern Illinois will play for the first time when the Huskies visit LaVell Edwards Stadium on Oct. 27, 2018. The Cougars will return the favor when they play at Northern Illinois on Oct. 24, 2020.

The Huskies, of the Mid-American Conference, have won 11 games or more each of the past four years and played in the Orange Bowl against Florida State at the end of the 2012 season.
