Head Utah Valley University women's golf coach Sue Nyhus announced that Via Wightman has joined her staff as an assistant coach.

Wightman, who recently moved to Utah from Massachusetts, was a longtime PGA Professional at Holyoake Country Club in Holyoake, Mass. Wightman spent the past 30 years as the head golf pro at Holyoake CC.

"Via brings a wealth of experience to our program," Nyhus said. "He has tutored many players through junior golf, college golf and onto various professional golf tours around the world. We are grateful for his willingness and eagerness to help our players be the best that they can be."

Wightman's daughters Sarah and Juli played for Nyhus during her time at BYU. Juli then went on to play professionally on the Symetra Tour. Wightman's son Tele, who is the current head PGA pro at The Ranches Golf Club in Eagle Mountain, played his collegiate career at the University of South Florida as well as professionally on the Canadian Tour.
