WOODS CROSS — A new elementary school now has a name, a principal and a theme.

The Davis Board of Education approved the name of Odyssey Elementary for the new school currently under construction at 2000 S. 1950 West in Woods Cross.

Vicki Corwin has been named Odyssey's principal. She will move from Taylor Elementary in Centerville to hire the staff and prepare the school to open its doors this fall.

The school will also be centered on the theme of bodies in motion and the animal kingdom, with each wing named for a different movement animals use — jumping, running, flying and swimming.
