Postseason meets for the BYU swimming and diving team begin with the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships this Wednesday through Saturday.

The men’s and women’s swimming championships are held at East Los Angeles College in Monterey Park, Calif., while the diving championships are held at the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center in Pasadena, Calif.

Two-time champion Hailey Campbell looks to defend her championship titles in the 100 and 200 back in her senior MPSF championship meet. Junior diver Nicholas Suder is the conference champion in the men’s 1- and 3-meter. He looks for back-to-back titles this year for the Cougars.

In the 50 free, senior captain Jordan Fletcher currently holds the MPSF top time with a time of 20.33. Freshman Lucas Aquino has a top time of 1:46.54 in the 200 fly, while junior Hayden Palmer holds the top times in the 400 IM with a swim of 3:45.38 and the 200 IM with a swim of 1:47.96.

Last year, the Cougars broke four school records and three meet records with conference championship wins. Both the men and women look to reclaim title as conference champions after dropping first place and taking third last season.

Eleven teams will compete in the 2014 championship meet. Participating for the women are BYU, UC Davis, Hawaii, UC Santa Barbara, Cal Poly, San Diego, University of the Pacific and Loyola Marymount. The schools for the men are BYU, Hawaii, and Pacific.

All swimming events (and some diving) will be live online via webcast. All swimming and diving events will be available via live results, as well as with the “Meet Mobile” app that's free to download. Check the men’s home page each night for results for the day.
