Utah drew two power-plays in the first 5:25 of the game and cashed in as Mathieu Aubin and Vinny Scarsella picked up assists on MacQueen’s goal as Utah controlled the Bakersfield zone five-on-four.
Danick Paquette fired a shot from the circle in transition that Mangan jammed in for the rebound to make it 2-0. Brent Gwidt picked up the other assist.
After Bakersfield made it 2-1, 7:23 into the second, Utah immediately killed a penalty and took the 2-1 lead to the third.
