Former Timpview lineman Xavier Su'a-Filo, who played at both guard and tackle for UCLA this year, also took home multiple awards, being named a second-team All-American by the Associated Press and earning honorable mention honors.

Two other locals — Utah defensive lineman Trevor Reilly and BYU linebacker Uani 'Unga — also earned honorable mention honors from

Van Noy returned to BYU for his senior season after a standout junior season capped by a two-touchdown, 1.5 sack, 3.5 tackles for loss effort in the Cougars' Poinsettia Bowl victory over San Diego State. In 2013, he has 63 tackles and a team-leading 16 tackles for loss as the Cougars prepare for the Fight Hunger Bowl against Washington on Dec. 27. A disruptive force, Van Noy also has 14 quarterback hurries, two interceptions — one he returned for a touchdown against Utah State — and a fumble recovery.

Su'a-Filo, a junior, has started all 39 games of his Bruins career and earned third-team All-America honors from the Associated Press and following the 2012 season. In 2009, he earned freshman All-America honors from Phil Steele and This year, he has helped UCLA rank 38th nationally in rushing offense, averaging 196.6 yards per game.

Reilly captained a Utah defense that finished the season ranked 20th in the country in rush defense, giving up 130.3 yards per game. He led the Utes with 100 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries and an interception.

'Unga, a transfer from Oregon State, leads the Cougars in tackles with 136 this season, 66 more than his next-closest teammate. He also has 7.5 tackles for loss, three pass breakups, two fumbles forced and a fumble recovery.
