Information for parents about the film "The Book Thief."

Nazi Germany: Scenes of Jewish people being marched out of town. Some Jewish people are taken out of their own stores and their property is confiscated. Books are burned in the town square.

Violence/war: Fighting among kids in town. Some combat is shown along with explosions. A sick child dies and is buried. Families are living in harsh conditions.

Language: Children call each other names. Children chant a name at one child on the playground.
