Defensively, Bear River is led by McKade Mitton, who has piled up more than 130 tackles this season, along with Taylor Lund and Tanner Porter.
Coach Wise has built the Bears' program into a perennial playoff contender, and they captured three state championships over a glorious four-year span from 2003-06.
He's proud of what they've accomplished thus far this season, too, and has high hopes they can continue their strong postseason winning tradition.
"I'm very pleased with what we've done up here this year, and heaven forbid it ends tomorrow night," he said. "Up here, the only thing you can gauge your success by is getting better every week, and I feel like we've done that. I'm very happy for our kids and very proud of them for what they've done."
