Eagle Mountain to host candidate debate

EAGLE MOUNTAIN — A mayoral and City Council candidate debate is scheduled ahead of the general election. The debate will be 7-9 p.m. Oct. 24 at Eagle Mountain City Hall, 1650 E. Stagecoach Run.

There will be a meet and greet at 6:45 p.m. The City Council debate is from 7-8 p.m., with the mayoral debate from 8-9 p.m.

The event is hosted by the Hidden Hollow PTA and Frontier Middle School PTSA, and co-sponsored by other local area school parent organizations and Eagle Mountain.

Mayoral candidates are incumbent Heather Jackson and challenger Christopher Pengra. City Council hopefuls are incumbent Nathan Ochsenhirt and candidates Adam Bradley, Bryan Free and Tom Westmoreland.

The general election is Nov. 5.
