Dove's latest commercial strikes the same chord on body image as it has in the past by demonstrating how women truly view themselves.
In the same vein as the video "Sketches," the company has chosen to highlight again the point that many women view themselves negatively.
In the new commercial, "Camera Shy," women are highlighted as avidly avoiding anything to do with being caught on camera. Rose Murphy's "Peek-A-Boo" plays in the background as over and over again women hide from having their faces on film.
The women are then contrasted with footage of several young girls who are more than happy to show their faces on camera. The girls are shown twirling, dancing, even looking in a mirror.
The video is based on this question: "When did you stop thinking you were beautiful?"
