Hundreds of Native Americans from various tribes gathered to don their traditional garb and dance at the ninth annual Heber Valley Pow-Wow in Heber City over the weekend. Dancers came to dance and compete for prize money from Friday to Sunday at Soldier Hollow. Besides some friendly competitive dancing during the three-day event, there was also social and round dancing. Participants dressed in authentic clothing to represent their tribes and vendors sold native food, artwork and crafts. Previous years have brought more than 3,5000 people to the event. The Pow-Wow was sponsored by AmBank, Soldier Hollow, Zermatt Resort, Homestead Resort, Days Market, Heber Valley Smiths, Wells Fargo, and the Heber Walmart.
