SOUTH OGDEN — Police are investigating a shooting at an apartment complex that sent one man to the hospital.
Police received a call about 9:45 p.m. Monday from a man who claimed someone had kicked in the door of his apartment and shot him.
Police arrived at the Villa South Apartment Complex, 3750 S. Grant Ave., to find the man inside his apartment, conscious and able to speak, though the suspect had fled. The man was transported to a hospital and is in stable condition.
The man, whose name was not released, said he was alone in the apartment when a Latino male entered. He was reportedly wearing a blue bandana over his face, a white hat, dark colored shirt and white basketball-type pants with a blue stripe.
Police are still investigating the motive for the shooting. Anyone with information about the incident can call police at 801-629-8211.
