On the Feb. 25 edition of ESPN's "Pardon The Interruption," co-host Tony Kornheiser extended birthday wishes to basketball player Jimmer Fredette, prompting co-host Michael Wilbon to urge the Sacramento Kings to "Free Jimmer".
At the 18:29 mark of the "PTI" podcast, Kornheiser was discussing Fredette's lack of playing time despite his heavily hyped college career and steady improvement in the NBA, causing Wilbon to comment that Fredette was "on the wrong team."
In his second season in the NBA, Fredette's field goal, 3-point and free-throw percentages are all up, but he's only averaging 14.1 minutes a game — almost a minute and a half less than his rookie campaign.

"And why is it that Jimmer gets no playing time?"
Incompetent coaches make foolish decisions all the time.
The reason the Kings have one of the worst teams in the NBA starts with their head coach.

Jimmer needs to find a team that can utilize his deep 3-ball ability to stretch defenses.
The Kings' one-on-one style offense simply isn't a good fit.
The Kings are the worst run team in the NBA and their coach is totally clueless about how to run an effective offense. Watching the Kings is like watching a pickup game at the local gym. Just roll the ball out and let everybody go one on one.
