Here's a team-by-team look at the 16 teams that qualified for this week's 4A girls basketball state tournament.

  • 4A girls hoops: Clearfield aiming high after win

There's a ton of intrigue heading into this year's 4A girls basketball state tournament, thanks in large part to a pair of 21-0 teams — Bonneville and Springville. The two perfect squads are on the same side side of the bracket, so if they do meet it would be in the semifinals Friday. There's a lot of basketball prior to that point, however, and no one can take anything for granted, especially the two favorites.

Along with Bonneville and Springville, teams like Region 6 champion Bountiful, Region 7 champion Skyline and other quality teams like Sky View, Cyprus, Timpview, Salem Hills and Maple Mountain are all hoping to make some noise this week at Salt Lake Community College.

Here’s a team-by-team look at all 16 teams in the state tournament, and what to expect:
