ST. JOSEPH 30, MILFORD 27: Mady White led the top-ranked Jayhawks to a thrilling victory with 10 points, all of which she scored in the second half. Katie Panushka added nine points, while Liz Tomon scored six. The win means St. Joseph will take on second-ranked Rich in Friday's semifinal game, which is a rematch of last year's championship game. Shyla Sherwood led the Tigers with 12 points, while Tia Florence added six points. It was the Tigers' defense and rebounding effort that helped them nearly defeat the defending 1A state champions.

RICH 50, MONTICELLO 27: Alisa Peterson and Alyssa Brown led the second-ranked Rebels to a quarterfinal win with 13 points each. Emma Peart added 10 points in the win. The Buckaroos were led by Zoe Chadwick's eight points.

PIUTE 56, MANILA 41: Shaylee Gleave's 16 points led Piute to a quarterfinal victory in the 1A state tournament. Her sister Kierra Gleave added 16, while Whitney Westwood finished with 10 points. Rebecca Collet led the Mustangs with 16 points, while Emily Catron added 13 points in the loss that sends Manila into the consolation bracket. Manila will play Escalante Friday in consolation play, while Piute takes on Layton Christian in the semifinals.

In consolation play Thursday, Panguitch defeated Wendover 58-17; Duchesne defeated Monument Valley 66-57; Tintic defeated ICS in double overtime 58-53.
