"You just can't panic. It's one loss. You're disappointed," Corbin said. "We're upset about it, but, you know what? The sun came up this morning. We get a chance to practice (Tuesday) morning and get ready for New Orleans (Wednesday)."
NOTES: Jazz sixth man Gordon Hayward did not practice Tuesday and is doubtful to play in tonight's game against the Hornets. Hayward missed Monday's game after spraining his right shoulder Saturday night against the Pacers. Six of Utah's past eight opponents have shot 52 percent or better against the Jazz. Corbin said the team aims to hold opposing offenses to 42 percent shooting. "We've allowed them to get too many drives to the basket, too many swings from strong side to weak side to get open looks," he said. "Transition has not been the best for us, but we have been able to weather the storm (5-3 in that stretch). We've been able to score at a good pace ourselves. We've got to get better." Williams on Corbin's defensive style: "I feel like he's a defensive-minded coach. He gives you a lot of freedom on the offensive end within the system, but he really does put an emphasis on defense. It's hard to even read an article about this loss. It was very predictable that the Jazz would get worked by the Lakers and provide Kobe and company with a boost of morale. Subsequently, the Jazz lost their edge. I predict that the Jazz will More..
And to rub salt in our wounds the DesNews staff picks an absolutely horrendous zoomed-in photo of Hayward to put on the front page. Absolutely incredible.
I don't know what why the owner's can't see the problem with the Jazz when everyone else does.
You got the players, but you need a coach!!!! It's time to bring in a new coach, and not at the end of the season. Come on More..
