USU tennis: the Utah State men's tennis team opens spring season at BYU on Saturday
Utah State men's tennis is scheduled to start off its 2013 spring season against BYU on Saturday, January 12. The match will begin at 12 p.m.
Coming off of a successful fall season, USU is looking to start the spring season off right. Utah State is looking forward to a new season after finishing last spring with a 5-14 record and a 0-4 record in Western Athletic Conference play.
The Aggie men will be led by seven returning players including senior Sven Poslusny; juniors, Brandon Nielsen, Fredrik Peterson and Andrew Whiting; and sophomores Tanner Dance, Curran Wearmouth and Matt Sweet. Utah State also has two newcomers, junior Matt Thatcher and freshman Zeno Kastelic.
Following the trip to Provo, the men's tennis team will travel to Pocatello Idaho to take on Idaho State, January 17 at 1 pm. The first home match for Utah State will be February 6, against Weber State, and will begin at 12 p.m.
