'Tis the season: Local holiday events for everyone

Whether you enjoy walking around in the snow to see as many lights as you can, or staying warm by watching a holiday production indoors, there is something for everyone this season.

Lights on Temple Square: View more than 1,000 lights strung across Temple Square, several nativity scenes and more.

City Creek Center: Enjoy the lights and water shows along with photos with Santa.

Location: City Creek Center, Salt Lake

Starry, Starry Night Spectacular: This year at Gateway Mall, enjoy thousands of Christmas lights and water shows set to different holiday songs.

Location: Gateway Mall, Salt Lake

Dates: Nov. 30-Jan. 1. Water shows at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Cost: Free

Holiday lights at Thanksgiving Point: Stay warm in your car and drive around thousands of lights and animated displays.

Location: 3003 N. Thanksgiving Way, Lehi

Dates: Nov. 30-Dec. 31, Mon.-Sat., 6 p.m.-10 p.m. (6-8 p.m. on Dec. 24)

Visit Santa's reindeer: Thanksgiving Point is taking care of some of Santa's reindeer this season. Visitors will have a chance to feed the animals.

Location: 3003 N. Thanksgiving Way, Lehi

Dates: Nov. 30-Dec. 22, Mon.- Fri., 6 p.m.-10 p.m. and Sat., noon-10 p.m.

The Grand America: View gingerbread houses and holiday window displays.

Location: 555 S. Main Street, Salt Lake City

Dates: Nov. 30-Jan. 1

Cost: Free

Hogle Zoo lights: The annual zoo lights will be available again.

Location: 2600 Sunnyside Avenue, Salt Lake

Dates: Dec. 1-31, Sun.-Wed. 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m., Thur.-Sat. 5:30 p.m.-9 p.m., closed Christmas.

Cost: Adults $7, children $5, seniors $5, and children 2 and under are free.

Christmas in the Nighttime Sky: Camp Floyd State Park and Lantis Fireworks and Lasers present a celebration with a visit from Santa and firework show.

Location: 18035 W. 1540 N., Fairfield

Dates: Dec. 1, 5 p.m. festivities begin, 7:30 p.m. fireworks.

Off Broadway: The comedy "Off-White Christmas" is sure to mix up what you are used to this holiday season.

Location: 272 S. Main Street, Salt Lake

Dates: Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays from Nov. 30-Dec. 29, 7:30 p.m.

Cost: Tickets may be purchased online.
