OREM, Utah - The Utah Valley University men's and women's indoor track teams open up the 2012-13 season Friday and Saturday at the Jacksons Open and Multis hosted by Boise State University.
The meet will be contested at the Jacksons Indoor Track at the Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho. It gets underway with the 60-meter hurdles in the pentathlon at 3:30 p.m. followed by the 60 meters in the heptathlon at 4.
In addition to Boise State and Utah Valley, Portland State, Nevada (women), Academy of Art, Central Washington, Western Oregon, Northwest Nazarene, St. Martin's, Concordia (Ore.), Warner Paficic, Lewis-Clark and Carroll will participate in the meet.
One month ago, the men's and women's cross-country teams won the Great West Conference championships in Chicago.
The sprinters, throwers and jumpers will see their first action of the season.
