HURRICANE — A man was hospitalized in critical condition and another man was in police custody following a shooting Tuesday night in a trailer park.
Police received a call about 7:50 p.m. from "someone who felt they were being threatened," said Nancy Perkins, spokeswoman for the Hurricane Police Department. Perkins said she could not confirm the gender of the caller or whether the individual was directly involved in the incident.
Police received a report of multiple shots fired as they were responding the call at the St. George Horizon Trailer Park. They arrived to find that a man had been shot.
The man was transported to an area hospital, and another man police believe was involved in the shooting was detained for questioning.
The name of the shooting victim was not released Tuesday night.
