BYU basketball: Cougars battle to halftime lead over Notre Dame Irish in Brooklyn
Brock Zylstra scored 10 points to lead the BYU Cougars to a 32-31 halftime lead over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
The Cougars shot just 36 percent from the floor in the first half, but they only committed three turnovers compared to seven for the Irish.
Notre Dame forward Jack Cooley led the Irish with 12 points and seven rebounds.
BYU star center Brandon Davies spent most of the first half on the bench after picking up two early fouls for the second game in a row.
