Students to be honored for completing English courses in West Valley

WEST VALLEY CITY — Students who have successfully completed English courses in West Valley City will be presented Tuesday with the English Achievement Award.

The 650 students will be recognized at the regular meeting of the West Valley City Council on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center, 1355 W. 3100 South.

The award is part of the West Valley City English Initiative, encouraging all residents of the city to learn English. The public is invited to attend the ceremony.
