Utah State football: Quarterback Chuckie Keeton, Aggies blowout Texas State Bobcats 38-7
LOGAN — Welcome to the Chuckie Keeton show.
Utah State’s sophomore quarterback shredded Texas State’s defense in the first half en route to a convincing 38-7 win for the Aggies. The victory gave Utah State an eight-win season for the first time since 1974.
Keeton tossed touchdowns to four different receivers in the first half and ran for a fifth touchdown to put the Aggies up 35-0 going into the locker room. Bruce Natson and Travis Reynolds were recipients of their first career touchdowns while Aggie receiving standouts Matt Austin and Kellen Bartlett caught the other two scores. Keeton finished the game 20 of 27 for 316 yards and four touchdowns — playing just a series into the fourth quarter.
Running back Kerwynn Williams went over 1,000 yards for the season with 120 yards on 19 carries. Williams became only the 11th Aggie to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark.
On the other side of the ball it was more of the same for the Aggie defense. The Bobcats threatened to score on their first drive of the game before cornerback Will Davis intercepted the ball in the end zone. Texas State finally did enter the end zone in the third quarter after getting the ball inside the 10 following a Keeton interception.
The Aggies will take next week off before a crucial matchup with Louisiana Tech that will likely decide the 2012 WAC championship.

Alright Aggies. We can clinch the WAC championship if we beat LA Tech in two weeks.
It's been a great season and it will be a great way to enter the MWC next year.
Nice job beating a lousy team in a lousy conference. The aggies are really showing us something ha ha. Oh man what a joke.
