I don't think that it is good to idea to bribe your kids. Tech them to do well and expect them to do well, then occasionally reward them for doing so. IF you bribe them you are raising a dependency of expectation and no foundation of hard work. More..
Everything we do teaches our children to demand more and more for their performance. If we're going to do away with these 'bribes' then there is no way our children will succeed without radically changing society at the same time.
There's also the threat of natural consequences--get good grades or be held back a year. Contribute to the running of the household or forget about receiving those benefits. Be responsible with media/device use or lose those privileges.
